Stitch Nation Yarn is released!

We've been working on it secretly for months now, but finally Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller yarn is released! Currenty for sale online exclusively at Joann.com, and at select Joann stores.

In the meantime, have a look at this behind-the-scenes video we created to give you a sense of what the yarn is about. This was shot during our photo shoot for the pattern booklet that will be coming out in February. We've got plenty of free patterns on the site right now, though, to keep you knitting until then!

Ok i have such problems with knitting the cabled chapeau. I don't understand the instructions where they say you're supposed to work 3 more stitches at the center each time. I've tried and retried this and it's just not working. Does anyone know how it's supposed to go? I'd really appreciate some help on this Thanks.

I really like this yarn. I was very excited when I stumbled upon it at my local A.C. Moore. I went for the Alpaca in grey, set out to make the Cabled Chapeau, but I'm having the hardest time with the brim, I followed the instructions, but it came out lopsided and I cant find help with my problem anywhere!

I actually saw and bought some of the Alpaca Love at the A.C. Moore in Bethpage, NY (on Long Island); they also had a bunch of the Bamboo Ewe and Full o' Sheep.

I will reserve my judgement of this yarn until I buy a skein and knit with it. I was surprised to find out that Debbie Stoller went with the Red Heart co. For years I tried to get my mom to stop using Red Heart and go to a yarn that was better quality and didn't have "knots". Also, Red Heart handled mostly acrylic which may or may not wash well or wear well. As a knitting teacher I am asked quite a bit about which yarns are good to buy and if the yarn works out, I'll recommend this.

I love the Alpaca Love. I crocheted/felted a purse in the lime green with it. Was very pleased. If you ever need someone to do a shout out on their blog for you, please keep me in mind. I will be adding a pic on my blog this week.

I love all three yarns! It's wonderful to have affordable all natural yarns in such brilliant colors.

I have just finished kitting the cabled chapeau. Loved the yarn. Made it in the purple. My only complaint is that the instructions on where to attach the brim are a little vague. Do I attach it above the ribbing on the ribbing?

Thanks Debi! Joann is not doing you any favors with their exclusive deal. Like I said, looked in three states and online!
