STITCH NATION by Debbie Stoller™ “Full o’ Sheep™”: 1 ball each 2510 Aquamarine A, 2910 Poppy
B and 2640 Thyme C.
 
Crochet Hook: 3.5mm [US E-4].
 
Yarn needle.
 
GAUGE: 16 sc = 4"; 20 rows = 4". CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
 
Finished Measurements
Foot Length: 8 (9, 10)".
 
SOLE
(Make 2)
With A, ch 8 (8, 9).
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across – 7 (7, 8) sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in first st, sc in each sc across to last st, 2 sc in last st – 9 (9, 10) sts.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in first st, sc in each sc across to last st, 2 sc in last st – 11 (11, 12) sts.
Row 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 6: Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in first st, sc in each sc across to last st, 2 sc in last st – 13 (13, 14) sts.
Rows 7-12 (13, 15): Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 13 (14, 16): Ch 1, turn, skip first st, sc across to last 2 sts, skip next st, sc in last st – 11 (11, 12) sts.
Next 2 Rows: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 16 (17, 19): Ch 1, turn, skip first st, sc across to last 2 sts, skip next st, sc in last st – 9 (9, 10) sts.
Work in sc until piece measures 7½ (8½, 9½)" from beginning.
Fasten off.
With right sides facing,fold last row in half and sew together for Heel.
Turn right sides out.
 
SLIPPER TOP
Round 1: Join A at Heel seam of Sole, ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc 12 (14, 15) sts evenly spaced along edge of Sole, [dc2tog, dc] 3 (3, 4) times, [dc2tog] 24 times, [dc, dc2tog] 3 (3, 4) times, dc 11 (13, 14) sts evenly spaced to first st, slip st in top of beginning ch – 60 (64, 70) sts.
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in each st around, slip st in top of beginning ch.
Round 3: Ch 3, dc in next 6 (8, 11) sts, [dc2tog, dc] 4 times, dc in next 4 sts, [dc2tog, dc] 5 times, dc in next 4 sts, [dc, dc2tog] 4 times, dc in next 6 (8, 11) sts, slip st in top of beginning ch – 47 (51, 57) sts.
Round 4: Ch 3, dc in next 6 (8, 11) sts, [dc2tog, dc in next 2 sts] twice, dc in next 19 sts, [dc in next 2 sts, dc2tog] twice, dc in next 5 (7, 10) sts, slip st in top of beginning ch – 43 (47, 53) sts.
Round 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around, slip st in first st.
Fasten off.
 
FINISHING
With A, working overhand, sew loops evenly spaced every 4th st around top of Slipper Top for Ties.
 
TIE
(Make 2)
With C, make a chain long enough to thread through loops and tie into a bow at Heel.
Beginning and ending at center of Heel, thread one Tie through loops on each Slipper Top.
 
FLOWER
(Make 2)
With B, ch 6, slip st in first st to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, work 12 sc in ring, slip st to first st to join.
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in next st, ch 3, sc in same st, *sc in next st, ch 3, dc in same st, dc in next st, ch 3, sc in same st; repeat from * 4 more times, slip st in first ch of beginning ch.
Fasten off.
 
LEAF
(Make 4)
With C, ch 8.
Row 1: Slip st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next 3 sts, sc in last st.
Fasten off.
Sew 2 leaves to the wrong side of each Flower.
 
Sew the Flower and tips of Leaves to toe of Slipper.
Weave in ends.
