Finished Chest: 24 (26, 28, 30)".

STITCH NATION by Debbie Stoller™ “Washable Ewe™”: 1 (2, 2, 3) balls each 3101 Cottontail A and 3365 Earth B, 1 ball each 3012 Licorice C and 3582 Lilac D.
 
Knitting Needles: 3.5mm [US 5] and 4.5mm [US 7].
Circular Knitting Needles: 3.75 [US 5] 16" long.
Stitch holders (4), yarn needle.
 
GAUGE: 20 sts = 4"; 26 rows = 4" in St st on larger needles slightly stretched. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge given.
 
SWEATER
BACK
With smaller knitting needles and A, cast on 60 (66, 70, 76) sts.
 
Rolled Edging
Begin with a knit row, work 10 rows in St st.
 
Change to larger needles, continue even in St st until piece measures 8 (9, 10½, 12)" from beginning allowing edge to roll, end by working a wrong side row.
 
Shape Raglan
Bind off 3 (3, 4, 6) sts at beginning of next 2 rows–54 (60, 62, 64) sts. Decrease one st at beginning and end of every right side row 16 (18, 18, 19) times. Place remaining 22 (24, 26, 26) sts on holder for back neck.
 
Front
Cast on and work same as for Back to Shape Raglan.
 
Shape Raglan and Neck
Bind off 3 (3, 4, 6) sts at beginning of next 2 rows–54 (60, 62, 64) sts. Decrease one st at beginning and end of every right side row 16 (18, 18, 19) times AND AT THE SAME TIME, when armhole measures 2½ (3, 3, 3½)" shape neck as follows: work across row to center 10 (12, 14, 14) sts and place these sts on holder for neck; join a second ball of yarn and work to end of row. Working both sides at once with separate balls of yarn, decrease one st at each neck edge every right side row 6 times.
 
Sleeves (make 2)
With larger knitting needles and B, cast on 30 (30, 32, 34) sts. Begin with a purl row, work in St st shaping sleeve by increase one st at beginning and end of every 8th (6th, 6th, 4th) row 8 (9, 12, 14) times–46 (48, 56, 62) sts. Work even until piece measures 10 (11, 12, 13)" from beginning allowing edge to roll, end by working a wrong side row.
 
Shape Ragan
Bind off 3 (3, 4, 6) sts at beginning of next 2 rows–40 (42, 48, 50) sts. Decrease one st at beginning and end of every right side row 16 (18, 18, 19) times. Place remaining 8 (6, 12, 12) sts on holder for neck.
 
FINISHING
Sew raglan seams. Sew sleeve and side seams.
 
Neckband
With circular needles and B, knit across 22 (24, 26, 26) sts from back neck holder, 8 (6, 12, 12) sts from sleeve, pickup and knit 10 sts from front side neck edge, knit across 10 (12, 14, 14) sts from front neck holder, pick up and knit10 sts from front side neck edge, knit 8 (6, 12, 12) sts from sleeve–68 (68, 84, 84) sts. Knit 10 rounds even in St st (knit every round). Bind off. Weave in yarn ends.
 
Puppy Face
Using C for nose and D for cheeks, embroider puppy face from chart on front of sweater, referring to photo for placement.
